On arresting Hamas leaders in Amman

Jordanian Information Minister Ayman al-Majali has denied that the decision taken on September 23 to arrest Hamas leaders Ibrahim Ghoushe and Khaled Mashaal was a political decision or the result of pressures exerted against Jordan to take such a decision. In a statement to Monte Carlo Radio on Friday, al-Majali said this decision is just a judicial one and pertains to Jordan's sovereignty and preserving its security.
He stressed that the Jordanian authorities will stop all who violate the Jordanian laws whether it is the Hamas movement or any other.
