Bouteflika meets with leader of US Sixth Fleet

The leader of the US Navy's Sixth Fleet, Vice Admiral Daniel Murphy, is due to arrive in the Algerian capital for a three-day official visit on board the USS Mount Whitney.
Algerian military sources said the visit has significance toward US - Algerian relations after the tensions that prevailed in the last months, saying that the Algerian defense minister will receive Murphy.
The sources added Murphy will meet with Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, and they will discuss military cooperation between the two countries as well as increasing Algeria's imports of US maritime weapons.
