Lebanon-Iraq, Economics, 9/25/1999
The delegation of the Lebanese Industrialists Association concluded today his four-day visit today to Baghdad under the chairmanship of Jacques Sarraf, head of the association, during which the delegation held commercial and economic discussions that resulted in establishing a Lebanese - Iraqi company for industrial investment, Liberak, aimed at developing cooperation worth half a billion dollars in commerce between the industrial sectors in the two states.
The new company will work on developing Iraq's infrastructure, as well as presenting the necessary technical consultations for Iraqi factories, which suffer from a severe lack of spare parts, due to the international sanctions imposed on Baghdad.
