Tunisian - Lebanese labor joint statement

The public labor union in Lebanon and the Tunisian public union for labor- emphasized the importance of enhancing joint Arab positions and boosting cooperation to reach greater Arab integration to serve Arab causes, especially liberation cases, growth and comprehensive development.

This came in a joint Tunisian - Lebanese labor statement issued yesterday in Tunis after the visit made by a delegation from the Lebanese labor union under the chairmanship of Elias Abu Rizk to Tunis at the invitation of Ismail El-Sahbani, head of the Tunisian union.

The two sides asserted in the joint statement their stable commitment to defending liberties and human rights, topped by the labor rights, the independence of union work.

They also stressed their agreement on coordinating the stances on the Arab and international levels as well as on organizing annual meetings between the two unions' leaders in alternation between Lebanon and Tunisia.
