Maghreb communications to convene meeting of Maghreb foreign ministers
Maghreb, Politics, 9/23/1999

Tunisian sources told ArabicNews.com today that there are Arab and Maghreb communications currently being made to convene a meeting of the Maghrebean foreign ministers scheduled for October and the proposed summit in November in Algeria.

The sources said Tunisia, Libya and Mauritania support convening the foreign ministers' summit on time, adding that the communications with Morocco confirmed its support for convening the summit as well as for supporting historic relations.

The sources added that the communications are being made to eliminate the effect left by the declarations of Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, in which he accused Morocco of sheltering an Algerian terrorist group and that it carries out its activities from the Moroccan territories.
