Moroccan-Spanish relations are very good, speakers says
Morocco, Economics, 9/22/1999
Speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives (Lower house), Abdelouahed Radi, and speaker of the regional parliament of Andalucia, Javier Torres Vella, have described relations between Morocco and Spain as "very good" and "strategic."
The speakers of the two parliamentary institutions who held a meeting in Seville on Tuesday said "minor conjuncture problems between the two countries can be settled easily" and that their "strategic relations shield bilateral cooperation from any political conjuncture."
During the talks that also touched on the progress scored by Morocco at economic, political and social scales, Radi called for the consolidation of the "friendly" relations between the two countries through the construction of the fixed link across the strait of Gibraltar and for enlarging the scope of bilateral cooperation.
He also deplored "the drastic conditions" imposed by the European Union to the marketing of Moroccan agricultural products.
Radi, who started on Tuesday a four-day visit to Andalucia at the invitation of the speaker of the regional parliament of Andalucia, will also visit Cordoba and Grenada.
