Egyptian - Syrian relations in petroleum are developed, says Egyptian official

The deputy chairman of the general Egyptian organization for petroleum, Maged Abd El-Halim, depicted Egyptian - Syrian relations regarding petroleum as developed and distinguished, as they reflect the adherence of the two states' leaders to developing them in different fields.
In statements upon his return from Damascus yesterday evening after a few days visit, he said he met in the Syrian capital, Damascus, with some officials working in the area of petroleum to discuss means of boosting and developing the cooperation relations between the two states in the coming period.
He stated that the coming period will witness a remarkable development in these relations regarding technical cooperation and exchanging experience, training missions and research.
This visit comes in the framework of following up on implementing a cooperation protocol in the area of petroleum, signed last year by Egyptian Minister of Petroleum Hamdi El-Banbi and his Syrian counterpart, Maher Jamal.
