Egyptian Minister of Information: No dealing with Disney if it doesn't change on Jerusalem
Egypt-Regional, Politics, 9/21/1999

Egyptian Minister of Information Safwat El-Sherif said the Walt Disney Company was informed by the Radio and Television Union that if Disney does not change its stance towards Jerusalem, the union will halt its dealings with the company.

He added that Morocco, as the head of the Jerusalem committee, and Saudi Arabia were invited to establish a parallel (equivalent) exhibition in the project of the millennium village, which will be opened at the end of the current month in the US state of Florida under the title "Jerusalem is Arab" as a reaction to the exhibition which the company intends to establish under the title of "Jerusalem is the Capital of Israel."

El-Sherif added that the Ministry of Information made intensive communications with the Arab League and the Foreign Ministry concerning Walt Disney's intention to establish the exhibition.
