Austria supports Khatami's reform policy

Austrian President Thomas Klestil expressed his country's support for the reform policy led by his Iranian counterpart, Mohamed Khatami.

The Austrian leader, who concluded his two-day visit to Iran today during which he met with the Iranian president and high-ranking Iranian officials, said the aim of his visit to Iran was developing bilateral relations and presenting support for the Iranian president's reform policy.

The Iranian president tried during his talks to improve commercial exchange with Austria.

On his side, Khatami stressed the importance of this visit to his country's relations with Europe, adding that the visit will be a turning point in the two countries' relations.
