Iranian Shoura council chairman to visit Saudi Arabia

The chairman of the Iranian Shoura council, Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri, will make an official visit to Saudi Arabia on October 16.
In a statement in Tehran on Monday, Nateq Nouri said his visit to Saudi Arabia comes at the invitation of the chairman of the Saudi Shoura council, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Bin Jubeir.
The chairman of the Iranian Shoura council stressed the desire of both Tehran and Riyadh to foster cooperation between the two countries' councils. He said, "Exchanging views concerning Islamic parliaments and relations between the two countries' Shoura councils are among the most important topics to be tackled during this visit." He added that the level of relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia cannot be compared now with what it had been.
He expected a bright future for the relations between the two countries. He indicated the positive results of cooperation between the two countries in the framework of the Organization of the Islamic Conference, the federation of the Islamic states' parliaments and OPEC, adding that this cooperation serves the interests of the Islamic states.
