A Syrian ambassador to be nominated in Amman

The Jordanian weekly al-Majd said on Monday that Syrian charge d'affairs Wahib Jaber will return during the next week to Damascus, according to a decision which will change his post from Amman to the Foreign Ministry. It added that this measure clears the way for appointing a Syrian ambassador in Amman as his successor.

It said the new shift for Jaber, who has proven great diplomatic capabilities during his service in Jordan, came in the context of diplomatic formations and transfers that covered Syrian representatives or ambassadors including those in Amman, Cairo, Washington and Beijing.
