Libyan official meets with EU delegation

The secretary of the Libyan people's general committee for foreign communication and cooperation (foreign minister), Omar al-Muntasir, met on Monday in Tripoli with a delegation representing the European Commission, currently visiting Libya. The two sides discussed fostering relations between Libya and the European Commission on the ground of the role played by Libya in the Mediterranean region.
The EC delegation includes the Finnish coordinator for the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, the consultant at the Finnish Foreign Ministry, a unit chief at the EC and the director of the EU cabinet's secretary.
