Casablanca to host Arab-Mediterranean environment forum

The Moroccan metropolitan city of Casablanca will host next November 10-11 the second Arab-Mediterranean Environment and Quality Forum.
The event, to be attended by several Arab and European countries, is expected to adopt a recommendation to set up a World communication network, the transfer of technology and cooperation in environment matters.
Participants will coordinate action ahead of the upcoming international congress on environment protection, to be held in Morocco in year 2001.
Environment legislation, the role of the media in environment protection and the role of international funds in settling pollution problems are also on the agenda of the Casablanca Forum, to be attended by several international organizations, including the UNDP social fund.
