Baghdad denies its relation to death of two Kuwaiti officials
Iraq-Kuwait, Politics, 9/20/1999

Iraq denied yesterday its relation to the death of two Kuwaiti officers on the borders, saying that the accident took place inside the Kuwaiti territories.

Iraqi sources stated, "Baghdad took many procedures regarding the accident and started investigations with the official Iraqi fronts in south of the country and found it has nothing to do with the incident."

Furthermore, it expressed its readiness to cooperate with United Nations' mission to monitor borders in revealing circumstances of the accident.

Eyewitness said the two Kuwaiti guards were wearing civilian clothes and were off duty when they were killed.
