Lebanese resistance operations

The Israeli occupation forces have escalated their air raids against the northern areas of the Israeli occupied border strip of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said that Israeli warplanes raided the Litani river area in the western Bekaa on Sunday and fired eight air-to-surface rockets.

Israeli warplanes also raided the western Bekaa area and eastern Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli warplanes carried out three raids at Wadi Yahmur and Labaya and dropped over 10 air-to-surface missiles.

The Israeli raids resulted in considerable destruction, and black smoke was seen in the targeted area. The Lebanese army and resistance forces' anti-aircraft missiles intercepted the raiding planes which dropped scores of thermal balloons.

On Sunday morning Israeli planes carried out four raids against Zouter East and Zouter West in the central sector, al-Mansouri in the western sector, and the valleys adjoining Zibqin and Maidoun town.

The Israeli raids resulted in fires in the attacked farms and woods.

On Sunday afternoon, the Israeli occupation forces bombarded several towns and villages in the central and western sectors as well as the hills and heights of al-Tuffah district.

In retaliation, the Lebanese resistance carried out a series of attacks against the Israeli occupation positions an the pro-Israeli South Lebanon Army militia in the occupied border zone in south Lebanon.

The Lebanese resistance attacked the positions of al-Mheisyat and Masharoun.

Another Lebanese national resistance group attacked al-Tibeh position, using sub-machine guns and rockets.

In a statement released earlier in the day, the Lebanese resistance said that one of its groups ambushed an armored Israeli patrol at the entrance of al-Radar position, using machine-guns and rockets. The statement added that one armouredvehicle was destroyed and all the soldiers inside were killed or wounded.

Another resistance group attacked the Israeli positions at al-Salaa, al-Qseir, Beaufort, Hardoun and Sujoud. A third resistance group attacked joint Israeli - SLA militia patrols in Wadi al-Hajir while driving at the triangle of Deir Siyrian - Wadi al-Hajeir.
