Iran, Saudi Arabia reach agreement on appointing OPEC director

Iranian Oil Minister Beijin Zankaneh has denied that there is any dispute between Iran and Saudi Arabia over appointing a secretary-general for OPEC.
In a statement upon he made upon returning on Sunday from Saudi Arabia, he said the two countries have agreed to support any decision taken concerning the candidates from Iran and Saudi Arabia, alternatively for two consecutive terms, each lasting three years.
He added that during the first period Saudi Arabia will support Iran's candidate, Hossein Kazem-Pour Ardebili, to assume the post of the organization's secretary general while Iran is to back the Saudi candidate for the next phase.
