Chinese deputy foreign minister holds important discussions in Cairo

Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Be Dowing arrived yesterday in Cairo for a visit, during which he will hold discussions with Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa.

The discussions will focus on means of boosting bilateral relations between the two countries and horizons of developing them, as well as regional and international issues of joint concern topped by the Middle East peace process.

Ambassador Nagi El-Ghatrifi, the Egyptian assistant foreign minister for Asian affairs, will hold talks with the Chinese official that focus on means of boosting bilateral ties and horizons of developing them, as well as benefiting from the improved Egyptian - Chinese relations following the successful visit paid by Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak to China last April.

The Chinese official will also meet with Chinese ambassadors accredited in the countries of the Middle East. This visit to Egypt comes as part of an Arab tour during which he is visiting Libya and Tunis.
