Khartoum: Communications with Ummah Party to motivate Sudanese reconciliation efforts

The secretary of the political department in the ruling National Conference Party in Sudan, Mohamed El-Hassan El-Amin, said yesterday in press statements that communications are currently being made with the opposition Ummah Party to arrange meetings between the two sides in the endeavors to achieve national reconciliation in Sudan.

El-Amin spoke about the developments inside the party, which is getting ready to convene its first general conference after ratifying laws of the political succession on October 7.

He said, "Talking about any change or establishing a new structure inside the party is up to the general conference."
