On King Abdullah's visit to Beirut

Orient Radio said on Wednesday that news on King Abdullah II's visit to Beirut was front-paged by the British daily Financial Times issued on Wednesday.
The British daily said the Jordanian king had, since he assumed power following the death of his father, has in mind the idea of establishing an economic integration between Syria, Jordan and Lebanon, in a step which bears economic and political dimensions, alike.
The paper remarked that in light of all that the Jordanian king proposed to the Syrians and Lebanese to unite characteristics of the products and define their sources so a product which enjoys a custom privilege of the EU, of which 60% is made in Syria and the other 40% in Jordan can smoothly get, without any problem to Europe, a situation that can encourage tangible regional trade exchange and constitute a starting point for a customs unity among the states concerned.
