Islamists in Jordan hold solidarity rally with Hamas

A solidarity rally was held on Tuesday night in Amman at the headquarters of the Jordanian vocational trade unions with the Hamas movement.

It was attended by several heads of the vocational trade unions, leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood group in Jordan and the Islamic Labor Front, several political figures and other political parties, as well as some 500 Muslim Brotherhood members.

Speeches were delivered by the Secretary General of the Islamic Labor Front, Abdul Latif Arabeyat; the chairmen of the Bar Association and dentists Saleh al-Armouti and and Ahmad al-Qadiri, respectively, both of who are Islamists; journalist Zeyad Abu Ghaneimah, who is also an Islamist and member of the anti-normalization committee; and Ali Hatar, who is also member of the Jordanian Writers Union.

The speakers called on the Jordanian government to give up its measures and decisions taken against the Hamas movement and to stop chasing Hamas' three leaders, Khaled Mashaal, Mousa Abu Marzouk and Muhammad Nazzal, as well as the spokesman for the Hamas movement, Ibrahim Gohshe.

The speakers also called for releasing the Hamas's detainees who were arrested by the Jordanian authorities while closing Hamas' offices in Jordan down.
