Research center on human rights at Casablanca law school

A research center on human rights will be opened at the Casablanca school of law as of October 4. The center, financed by the embassy of Great Britain in Morocco, will disseminate information and results of researches on human rights, a statement by the British embassy said.
The center, to be open in a first phase to academics, will issue a newsletter and will conduct a study on the situation of research in human rights matters in Morocco. It will later widen the scope of its activities, establish partnership with governmental and non-governmental organizations and provide information to a larger public.
The embassy's financial contribution to the center amounts to ¦ 4,500 (about 72,000 DH).
The colleges of law of Casablanca, Oujda and Marrakesh dispense post graduate studies on human rights and forced migration part of a study program on refugees, linking these colleges to Oxford University.
