Barak to visit France in coming week

French sources in Cairo stated that Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak will pay a working visit to France from September 22 - 24, adding that it is Barak's first visit since he assumed his post.
The sources said Barak will meet with French President Jacques Chirac to discuss motivating the Lebanese and Syrian tracks and the importance of Israeli's commitment to implementing the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement.
The sources added that Barak will meet with French Prime Minister Lionel Jospin, with whom he will discuss means of improving Israel's ties with Europe, especially France.
