King Abdullah against blocs policy
Jordan-Regional, Politics, 9/15/1999
Jordan's King Abdullah II on Tuesday called for achieving economic integration among all Arab states, especially the neighboring states. In a statement to the Jordanian news agency upon his return to Amman following a two-day visit to Jordan, the king said Jordan is "careful to revitalize joint bilateral committees with the Arab brothers with no exception, because revitalization of these committees is a step towards maintaining Arab economic integration."
The Jordanian king added that Jordan, which is careful to strengthen the march of joint Arab work and unify the Arab states' "efforts and potentials refuses the axis policies and blocs which do not serve the Arab national inclination to achieving Arab unity, especially in economic areas."
