Swedish FM to visit Israel next month

It was announced in Stockholm on Tuesday that Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson will pay a visit to Israel on October 6 though 9. He will also visit the Palestinian self-rule areas and meet with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat.
The Swedish premier is the first Swedish prime minister to visit Israel since the visit paid by the former prime minister of state, Taga Ilander, in 1962.
