US development agency supports Egyptian small projects
Egypt-USA, Economics, 9/14/1999

The US Agency for International Development (USAID) signed yesterday with the Egyptian government a contract for a development program targeting growing and small industries, aimed at establishing 60 financial units throughout Egypt through civil associations.

Moreover, Richard Brown, the head of USAID, confirmed that signing this contract reflects the firm cooperation between the USA and Egypt to support the efforts for development and economic progress in the Egyptian market.

Moreover, he said the experience of developing and supporting Egyptian small and medium-sized projects has achieved success, especially, the programs financed by USAID, adding that the signed program comes within the framework of completing the efforts of USAID to deepen and spread the small projects, as well as to increase the efficiency of civil associations and help them depend on their supplies.
