Bouteflika hails civil rapport results
Algeria, Politics, 9/14/1999

Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika expressed his happiness yesterday during his tour of Algeria's states to promote the September 16 referendum on the civil reconciliation law over the affiliation of the Rally for Culture and Democracy party, the Republic Party and leaders of the prohibited Islamic Salvation Front to the civil reconciliation endeavors.

Bouteflika said that once the time limit allowed by the reconciliation law ends on January 3, Algeria's image will be changed, as will its confrontation styles with those who try to violate the law.
