Algerian president gets message from Mozambican counterpart

Mozambique's prime minister arrived in Algiers on Monday carrying a message from Mozambican President Joaquim Alberto Chissano to Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika. No information was disclosed on the content of the message.
In an arrival statement to reporters Mozambican Prime Minister Pascoal Mocumbi said his visit to Algeria falls in the course of "brotherhood and friendship relations linking the peoples of Algeria and Mozambique."
The visiting envoy added that Algeria is restoring its position in Africa through adopting initiatives in the context of the Organization of African Unity that would be conducive to settling conflicts in Africa.
