EU ministers lift sanctions from Libya

The foreign ministers of the European ministers meeting in Brussels today decided to lift the remaining sanctions left on Libya except those pertaining to banning of weapons. In a statement, the EU foreign ministers extended an invitation to Libya to hold negotiations with the EU concerning Libya 's joining of the free trade Zone which is scheduled for the countries of the Mediterranean.
