Guinean multiparty delegation in Morocco
Morocco-Guinea, Politics, 9/13/1999
A multiparty delegation made up of leaders of several Guinean political parties is expected this Monday in Morocco to examine with its Moroccan peers internal developments and bilateral relations, a release of the National Democratic Institute (NDI) said.
The mission is sponsored by the NDI, which has been initiating since 1997 programs to back up the democratization process in Guinea. The program is financed by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
The Washington-based NDI said recent political reforms in Morocco are an example for leaders of other emerging democracies.
While in Morocco, the Guinean delegation will study how the Moroccan political parties adapted to the alternation system and the moves undertaken to improve their internal organization.
