King of Jordan visits Lebanon today

Jordan's King Abdullah II is scheduled to arrive today in Beirut with his wife, Queen Rania, for a two-day official visit to Lebanon at the invitation of Lebanese President Emile Lahoud.

The Jordanian monarch will hold a session of comprehensive discussions with the Lebanese president tonight, to be followed by dinner banquet in the Lebanese presidential palace.

The discussion will be preceded by King Abdullah's meetings with Lebanese personalities.

The Jordanian delegation accompanying the king will hold three separate bilateral meetings, the first of which is among the parliamentary leadership, the second among the prime ministers of the two states and members of their governments and the third between the manager of the Jordanian intelligence, Lieutenant General Sameeh El-Batikhi and Lebanese security leaders.
