Moussa lauds al-Sahaf's council leadership
Egypt-Iraq, Politics, 9/13/1999

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa gave in a statement his full consent to Iraqi Foreign Minister Mohammed Said al-Sahaf's administration of the Arab League ministerial council's sessions. He described it as being good and said it took place objectively in a good Arab style.

Regarding Egypt's demands from the ministerial council, Moussa said, "We do not have demands."

Regarding what was said about disputes in the ministers' consultative meeting, Moussa said the discussions were very good and deep, even in the consultative meeting when the subject of Sudan was discussed, and that thet were discussions of cooperation and solidarity among all ministers.

Regarding the committee authorized to address the situation in Iraq, Moussa said, "It still exists yet it has never convened, and we all work to lift up the continuing economic embargo."
