Israel continues implementation of Sharm al-Sheikh accord
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 9/11/1999
Israel has resumed the implementation of the Sharm El-Sheikh accord without obstacles, especially following the release of 200 Palestinian detainees.
Furthermore, the president Yasser Arafat of Palestine agreed upon a group of maps expanding the scale of the Palestinian governmen's sovereignty over another 7% of the West Bank.
Israel is handing land over for the first time in 10 months, but Israel will be responsible for security in the less-populated areas to be handed over today.
Furthermore, officials said that the sites involving water, electricity, religious sites, and clubs would be handed over on Monday, following the end of the Jewish New Year.
