Iran calls for raising petroleum prices
Iran-Regional, Economics, 9/10/1999
The representative of Iran in OPEC, Hussien Kazem, said the member states in the organization have adopted only one policy to raise the prices of petroleum in the international markets, adding that petroleum prices are related to the volume of petroleum produced.
In a statement broadcast by Tehran radio today, Kazem called on member states in OPEC to work on not allowing the prices of petroleum to fall. He warned that not abiding by decided production shares will negatively affect petroleum-producing countries.
