Volume of sugar production in Arab states reaches 25 million tons

The Arab organization for industrial and mining development announced that the production of raw sugar in the Arab states has amounted to nearly 25 million tons, according to the annual statistics released by the organization, in which Egypt comes in first, followed by Sudan.
The total lands planted with sugar and beets amounted to 20 million hectares, and the organization is currently preparing a study on environmental efforts in sugar factories in the Arab states, lasting for three years.
