Gulf petroleum ministers to meet on September 18
Gulf-Algeria, Economics, 9/10/1999
The Gulf Cooperation Council states are to hold a meeting on September 18 in Riyadh to include the ministers of petroleum and energy from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar -- all members of OPEC -- in addition to the petroleum ministers of Oman and Bahrain.
Omani Petroleum Minister Muhammad bin Hamad bin Sayf al-Rumhi will attend the coming meeting of OPEC, although his country is not a member of the organization.
This meeting will be followed by a tour to be paid by Algerian Petroleum Minister Youcef Yousfi to Gulf cities to coordinate the continuation of production reductions.
