Egypt-Jordan, Politics, 9/10/1999

The meetings of the Egyptian - Jordanian follow-up committee are to begin tomorrow in Cairo and last for two days. The committee emerged from the high joint committee between the two states.

The Egyptian side in the committee is to be chaired by Ali Abd El-Aziz Soliman, the first undersecretary of the International Cooperation Ministry, while the Jordanian side will be chaired by Mohamed El-Halayka, secretary general of Trade and Industry Ministry.

Soliman told ArabicNews.com that during these meetings they are going to follow up on and evaluate what was implemented of the decisions released by 15th session for high joint committee held in Jordan's capital, Amman, last December, under the chairmanship of the two states' prime ministers, especially concerning the establishment of a free trade zone between Egypt and Jordan.
