Japan contributes to upgrading tourism at Aswan

The governor of Aswan, Salah Mosbah, met yesterday with a delegation from the Japanese department for international cooperation, JICA, which is accompanied by Adel El-Gindy, the representative of the tourism development department.
During the meeting, both sides have discussed ideas concerning tourism development in the governorate to put it within the general plan for tourism development in Egypt, especially at Aswan, Luxor, and the Red Sea till the year 2017.
Meanwhile, the governor explained to the delegation, the suggestions for contributing to upgrading tourism in the governorate, which based on three main pivots. The first pivot includes Abu Sombel City for tourists, Abu Sambel temple, and upgrading Abu Sombel airport, which has begun to receive all kinds of planes coming from abroad directly, in addition to the 380 km land road to Aswan from Abu Sombel, which has been equipped and ready to facilitate the land transport and tourist buses.
The governor also said that three traffic points have been established on the road to supervise the cars, as well as the plan to establish nine tourist villages in Abu Sombel to contain the tourist groups coming to visit the region.
