Regional, Politics, 9/10/1999
The Arab League council on Sunday will hold its 112th session at the level of the Arab foreign ministers.
AL sources in Cairo said that AL Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid had made necessary contacts to prepare the atmospheres to make this session a success so it can be a step toward purifying the Arab atmospheres.
Meantime, a well-informed source at the AL said that some 18 Arab states have informed the AL of their participation in this session, which will be held on the ministerial level, including Syria.
An Arab diplomatic source in Cairo said the session's agenda includes several topics, namely the Arab-Israeli conflict, the Palestinian refugees and the Israeli settlement.
The meeting's agenda also includes permanent provisions on the occupied Golan Heights, south Lebanon, the Israeli nuclear armaments, the Israeli space activities and their adverse consequences on Arab national security as well as other issues of concern to the Arab states, in general.
