Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib has accused the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, of interfering in the internal affairs of Jordan and in damaging the relations between Jordan and the Palestinian government.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in the Jordanian daily al-Rai, al-Khatib said the actions Jordanian judicial sides have recently taken against Hamas members in Jordan is because they "carried out illegal activities and interfered in the internal affairs of Jordan," as well as making actions and behaviors that damage Jordan's relations with the Palestinian leadership.
