Jordanian Journalist Union questions three of its members over normalization
Jordan, Politics, 9/9/1999

The Jordanian Journalists Union's council on Wednesday questioned three of its members over the nature of their visit to Israel. A complaint was raised against journalists Sultan Hattab, Jihad al-Moumini and Abdullah Hasanat to the council, alleging that they had done a normalization act with Israel and violated the union's decisions which ban normalization with Israel.

The council asked the three journalists to answer the complaint filed against them within 15 days, according to the union's provisions.

Meanwhile, Jordanian Minister of Information Ayman al-Majali said the visits carried out by Jordan's King Abdullah II, the last of which was to Kuwait, fall in the framework of Jordan strengthening relations with all Arab states, noting that King Abdullah will visit Lebanon very soon.

In an interview with Sawt al-Arab radio broadcast on Wednesday, the Jordanian minister said Jordan is with the unity of Arab ranks and Arab solidarity to reach a common strategy.
