Shaath: We are waiting for practical implementation of Sharm agreement
Palestine, Politics, 9/8/1999

Palestinian Minister of International Cooperation and Planning Nabil Shaath said the Palestinian leadership is waiting for the practical implementation of the Wye River accord in light of what was ratified in the Sharm El-Sheikh implementation agreement, referring to the beginning of preparations for final status negotiations over the Palestinian territories on Monday.

In a statement to ArabicNews.com, Shaath said the first practical meeting will start directly to discuss the mechanism of these difficult negotiations, denying that the two sides have proceeded to reach an agreement for the final status negotiations dictated by the Sharm agreement, which specifies that the two parties would reach it within five months starting from the middle of September.
