Israeli government meets today
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 9/8/1999

The Israeli government held a meeting today to specify the areas from which the Israeli forces are going to withdraw in the West Bank, in light of the military withdrawal dictated by the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement on implementing Wye River accord.

Meanwhile, senior Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat announced that Israel would release the first group of deatinees, including 200 prisoners, within the current week according to Sharm agreement.

Erekat said the dates of the agreement are renewable and non-negotiable, so, the two sides have no choice except to implement what was said according to the firm dates.
