Four Egyptian Islamic extremists killed

Egyptian security forces killed yesterday four members of the extremist Islamic movement El-Gamaa El-Islamia (the Islamic Group). The officials said the four men were killed when security forces entered an apartment where they were hidden.

The four extremists killed by the security forces were wanted for several years for their involvement in an attack against policemen and Coptics in Upper Egypt.

Security sources said the four men were hiding in an apartment in Giza city, in the suburbs of greater Cairo.

The sources said the four men shot at the police when they were entering the building but the men were killed.

Among them was Faried Kidwani who known as a permanent leader of the group's military wing in Egypt.
