King Abdullah concludes visits to Kuwait, Egypt

King Abdullah of Jordan on Tuesday night returned home, together with members of his accompanying delegation, following visits to Kuwait and Egypt, during which he met with the ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah.

In Egypt, King Abdullah congratulated Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak over his escape from the assassination attempts on Monday.

A round of official talks was held earlier on Tuesday between the ruler of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah, and Jordan's King Abdullah II, currently visiting Kuwait.

An emiri statement said talks dealt with the framework of bilateral relations between the two countries and means of boosting them in all fields on a common ground as a meeting point for areas of cooperation for the benefit and the welfare of the two countries.

The statement added that the talks were held in fraternal atmospheres with a spirit of understanding and harmony.

In his residence in Kuwait, King Abdullah met with members of the Jordanian community in Kuwait.
