Bahrain pardons fleeing pilot

The ruler of Bahrain Sheikh Hamad Bin Issa al-Khaleifa on Monday enacted a pardon for a pilot who fled in his plane to Qatar in 1996 and returned to Manama later on.
Sheikh Hamad told Bahraini Minister of the Interior Sheikh Muhammad Bin Khaleifa al-Khaleifa that he had decided to pardon pilot Nasser Najid Nasser, who decided to surrender to the authorities in Bahrain after he expressed his redemption and asked forgiveness.
