Morocco helps in training of Palestinian water management executives
Palestine-Morocco, Economics, 9/7/1999

Two Palestinian universities have requested the Moroccan drinking water office (ONEP) to help them in various training activities of executives in water management.

The two Gaza-based universities, the Islamic University and Al-Azhar University, have asked for ONEP's assistance as part of the cooperation agreement signed in February 1998.

Under the agreement, the Islamic University will get technical assistance and training in sanitation. The European Union-financed project, which will run for 18 months, also includes the creation of a water lab to be financed by the Islamic Development Bank.

The agreement provides for the holding of a two-week training session for 20 Palestinian executives.
