Chinese-Arab relations debated at colloquy in Beijing

The University of Beijing hosted recently a colloquy on relations between China and the Arab states.
A host of specialists from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Tunisia invited to the meeting made presentations on studies they have conducted on various items included in the agenda, mainly political, cultural and communication bonds between Arab states and China.
Moroccan Abdallah Chakroun, an international audiovisual consultant, chaired a session on political relations and presented the findings of his study on the image of China in the Arab media.
All debates took place in classical Arabic. As many as 3,000 Chinese write and speak fluent Arabic.
