Sudanese FM to confer with British FM

Sudanese Foreign Minister Mustafa Othman Ismael is due to confer with his British counterpart, Robin Cook, on the September 23 in New York on the sidelines of the meetings of UN General Assembly.

Sudanese sources told ArabicNews.com that the British Foreign Office has called for this meeting, to which the Sudanese foreign minister has agreed.

The sources said the meeting would tackle the reasons for the tensions in the relations between London and Khartoum, in addition to the means of easing this tension and restoring relations on the basis of exchanged respect and mutual interests.
