Pope John Paul II to visit Egypt in December

The head of Saint Catherine's Monastery, located in Sinai, said that Pope John Paul II is due to visit Sinai on December 5, marking his first visit to Egypt. He added that he received from sources in the Vatican, information that Pope John Paul is going to visit the monstry of Saint Catherine, on Mount Moussa in the Sinai and that the visit will not last for more than three hours as part of the Pope's religious pilgrimage.
