King Abdullah II of Jordan arrived in Kuwait for a two-day official visit. At Kuwait's international airport, Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah received the Jordanian king.

In a statement, King Abdullah expressed his hope that his visit to Kuwait will mark the beginning of a new historical page in the relations linking Jordan and Kuwait.

King Abdullah, who is accompanied on the visit by his wife, Queen Rania, stressed that relations between Jordan and Kuwait will always be good for the interests of the two peoples.
